THE END????????????

I liked learning about the videos and just learning about different sources for to use for future classrooms. This program has made the use of technology easier to understand. I thought I knew more about this information, but I have come to find out I did not know nearly as much as I learned. Make the 23 Things a little less daughnting. Typically things get put off until the end of the term, if this was assigned in smaller chunks it might be easier. Form what I have learned I will probably use more technology in the classroom, and maybe even have a blog for a class project. Just taking the time to read new information about teaching and web 2.0 information.

Thing 23!

As a teacher knowing about creative commons help us be able to use different tools with teaching. Creative commons help us as teachers use things found on the internet in the classroom. We can use pictures to help represent new and different ideas that may have not been thought as before. Before this class I thought everything I got from the internet had to be cited and I had to check all kinds of things just to be able to use certain images or information. Creative Commons can be taught to the younger students so they know what they can and cannot use in projects.

Thing 22

My binders are called Books, Math, and Education. LiveBinders can help with group assignments. If I have an assignment for my students. LiveBinders can help keep track of sources. The binder I chose is helping me keep up with possible sites to purchase cheap textbooks for my classes.

Thing 21

Make your own slideshow with music at Animoto.

I really enjoyed this. I can make a video about anything. It could be a cool end of the year project for the students for the parents. This video has pictures from when I had my son and the times I got to see him with his adoptive family.

Thing 20

I like the fact that YouTube has free vidoes and that as teachers we can access them and use them at will. What I really dislike is the fact that when you search for something there are no filters to help lower the number of results. The reason I chose the video I did is because it is a fun song to play at the begining of the year for math or during a math test. Adding the information about teachertube can help with finding videos for class. You can help find intructional videos over how to write a paper or other helpful things.

Thing 19

I am a member of a few online communities now. I am a member of Facebook, TeacherPop, Pinterest, and Google. I like Facebook a lot since I can keep up with my friends who are away at college and do not live near me. I like TeacherPop, too. What was interesting about TeacherPop was that it is just for teachers of the College of Education Department here at Austin Peay. I plan on using TeacherPop to help with collaborating on future projects. What I absolutely love about Pinterest is that it gives so many ideas for future classroom projects and also gift ideas. Most of the things come form blogs!

Thing 18

Facebook  this is a link to my Facebook page.It is important for educators to use social networking so that we can share sites and information and bounce ideas off of one another. These sites can help people connect and learn what people are doing all over the world and maybe be able to Incorporate two classes from cross country. I like Facebook because I understand how to use it because I use it a lot. I still have yet to give into the fad of Twitter.
A school can use this to make sure the teachers are being professional on every level.
